Consistency. In 2005, the Vertigo line maintained it's structure, with the Vertigo Elite and Deluxe in the customary Metallic Black Satin, Natural and See-Thru Blue finishes.

The Vertigo X became a top selling model since then, featuring the trademark shape with basic features and great quality at a very low price.

New Vertigo endorsees around this time included Juan Garcia of AGENT STEEL and Ken Floyd of EIGHTEEN VISIONS.

    Vertigo Artist Profile: Adrian Belew

    Adrian-Belew-web2

American guitarist, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer, Adrian Belew, is one of the shining stars in the Vertigo user list. He is perhaps best known for his work as a member of the progressive rock group King Crimson (which he has fronted since 1981) and for his unusual impressionistic approach to guitar playing (involving arresting, yet frequently melodic sounds more akin to animals and machines than to standard instrumental tones). Unsurprisingly, he became an enthusiast of the Fernandes Sustainer, following the steps of bandmate Robert Fripp.

Widely recognized as an "incredibly versatile player", Adrian has released nearly twenty solo albums for Island Records and Atlantic Records which blend Beatles-inspired pop-rock with more experimental fare. His 2005 single "Beat Box Guitar" was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category. In addition to being a member of King Crimson, he is also in the more straightforward pop band The Bears and fronted his own band, "Gaga", in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He has worked extensively as a session and touring musician, most famously with Talking Heads, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, and Nine Inch Nails.

"Suddenly it's like holding a live wire in your hand. The guitar becomes alive. The Sustainer makes every note you hit sustain and I love the harmonic mode." - Adrian Belew

Unity. In 2004, the Vertigo Elite and Deluxe were redesigned, removing the locking tremolo system from the Elite and giving them a consistent look with tom bridge, flame maple tops and four disctinctive finishes: Metallic Black Satin, Natural, See-Thru Blue and Wine Red.

The Vertigo X was also revamped with the same tom bridge and stop tail piece, dual humbuckers and a single split-trapezoid inlay in the 12th fret.
